Any experience with Mont Blanc multi pass online purchase

We are going to be in Chamonix in two days and I’ve waited to purchase the multi pass until now in order to make sure the weather will be good on the days we are there. However, I am having a horrible time getting the purchase made on the website.

It appears that they release a certain number of reserved spots on the Aguille du Midi (this is included w the pass), but I am having a terrible time making this reservation online. Either it’s incredibly slow to the point of not functioning, or I can select a time and get the passes in my basket to check out, at which point it gives the message that online purchases are unavailable at this time. Intermittently it will indicate all reservations are booked for the day. This is very frustrating to say the least!

My question is, is there another way to purchase these passes once we get to Chamonix? Or does anyone have any other tips/tricks for making this purchase online? My stomach is sinking at the idea of spending two days in the region and not making it up the Aguille du Midi.

If it turns out we are unable to purchase the pass, does anyone have some suggestions of other options to get up to a good view point?

(We are purchasing the multi pass in order to complete a hike that will use the Aguille as well as another lift and the train, so it’s definitely a bargain for what we want to do)

I think the website appears to be functional but the purchases are not going through,
so no matter how far you get in the process, you are doomed to failure until they fix
the issue.

Your lodging provider may be able to procure passes for you, although if you are 2
days out, I'd call rather than email. Otherwise, I'd go to the tourist office in Cham when
you arrive and get the multipass in person.

If you can't get a reservation for the AdM before you arrive, you can go to the plaza it
departs from and get a reservation time in person. If it ends up being later in the day,
you can walk over to Montevers and take the train up to the glacier and then come back.

Prob a 10-15 minute walk between the two.

@shoeflyer - thanks so much! It sounds like we may not be out of luck yet! Our lodging “concierge” (through hostnfly, so probably not the best out there) says they’re unable to assist w tickets, but I will attempt online again tomorrow morning, and if I can’t get through on the website, I will just head to the tourist center as you suggested. 🤞🏼🤞🏼 Thank you!
