Any Experience with HOP Air Refundable Ticktes?

So I am considering booking a HOP flight from Marseilles to ORLY on 6/2 as a back up to a scheduled train, I have never booked a refundable flight in my life. Any ins and outs I need to be aware of? Any Fine print? I assume I can cancel anytime without penalty up to flight takeoff? If I read correctly I can cancel even after takeoff (assuming I'm not on the fight). Seems like a good backup plan.

Thanks is advance!!

I think you should make the opposite assumption: You probably will not be able to cancel your ticket without penalty. Hop is a budget branch of Air France, by the way. Here is what the website says (and you should look that site up yourself):

"Only Maxi Flex and Young/Family/Senior tickets are refundable.
If my ticket number begins with 163,I call the 0 892 70 22 22 (0,35€/min) from France, + 33 1 72 95 33 33 from abroad, or I use the contact form to obtain my refund.
If my ticket number begins with 057, I have to visit AIRFRANCE.fr, page “refunds”."

Thanks! I did speak with an agent today, and from what they say, the Flex is cancelable ANY time, including after scheduled flight (as long as you did not check in). No fees or costs. Seems like a viable back-up. I also have taken a reservation all the way to submit and that seems to back what the agent say, Needless to say, I will be taking a lot of screen shots.
