Any Advice on Finding a D-Day Tour Guide for Sep 2014?

I totally underestimated the number of people wanting D-Day tours for 10-12 September and am having no luck. Any suggestions? There are 4 adults in my group and we are staying in Bayeux.

Thanks...

Maybe you could contact your hotel in Bayeux to see if they can help. Otherwise rent a car for a do-it-yourself tour. We did that one year and while a guided tour is better, with a guide book and info on Canadian army participation, it worked well for us. Plus we were just the two of us, which I liked.

Try Dale Booth. He has his own tour services. Google his name. We took several tours with him and he's outstanding in his knowledge of history.

Rick's book recommends quite a few different private guides and organized tours, including the one departing from the Caen Memorial Museum, which has more departures. As with hotels, you can put out a few different request emails concurrently, then confirm with the one that responds first or best.
