Thank you! I will have to see how long the train ride is from Paris. We'll be there next May.

I've been to both the public beaches and private beaches of J-l-P, and would caution that if you are an active beach-enjoyer rather than a chair sitter, stick with the public areas. The private ones are set up for coddling/pampering/narcotizing their guests.
