Antibes in June

Bonjour!
We are looking to spend 2 weeks in June in Antibes with my two elementary-age children. We are researching the various neighborhoods to rent a place. Any suggestions? We are happy to walk to various places, but a more than 25-minute walk to the public beaches is a little too long. Also, how is the safety for tourists (and anyone) in Antibes? Merci beaucoup!

My family (with elementary school-age child) stayed in Antibes in June 2024. First of all, the Old Town is fairly compact, so staying anyplace would not be inconvenient for walking to someplace else. We stayed between Place Nationale and Avenue de Verdun, which was a busy area but once we closed the street door of our rented apartment all of the commotion got left behind. Otherwise I'd surmise that the area on the other side of Place Nationale and between Place du Safranier would be comfortable and likely quieter. We walked in this area and got this feeling, anyhow. The Marche Provencal is nearby, on Cour Messina I think, a great place to visit but if looking for a quiet stay probably off of it.
Plage de la Gravette is probably the most kid-friendly of the ones in Antibes. Do buy beach shoes because there are rocks and pebbles underfoot. my daughter (and I did too) enjoyed the tourist train over to Juan les Pins. This is where you'll find wide, sandy beaches and gentle surf close to shore.
Antibes is a wonderfully lovely town, that I hope to revisit in future. I didn't have any inkling of danger. One evening as the sun sank we walked along the city ramparts as far as the Nomade statue at Bastion Saint Jaume, lit up against the tranquil sky. Magical!
