Antibes and Juan les Pins for a day

First off, is JLP a must see at all? Second, does Antibes merit a full day of wandering even if we don't end up going to the Musee Picasso?

Nothing I've read suggested that Juan-les-Pins was a must. I spent a day wandering around Cap d'Antibes and didn't make an effort to go there. I liked Antibes but don't think you'd need a full day there even if you went to the Picasso Museum. I suppose you could stretch it with a long lunch and a cafe break or two, but I think the main reason to budget a full day would be to walk along the coast, and I found the foot path around the southern part of the peninsula more challenging than I expected because of loose rocks, etc. Incidentally, it's difficult to see any of the coastal villas, magnificent though they may be, because all of them seem to have very high walls around them.

I did a day in Antibes and Juan-les-Pins, as a daytrip from Nice. When I went, the Musee Picasso was still being renovated. I walked around both towns (they have a very different appearance and vibe), taking a local bus between them.

Neither one was a "must see" in the sense of earth-shaking, but both were nice enough. If you like sandy beaches instead of rocky ones, Juan-les-Pins has one of the few sandy beaches in the region.
