Another Navigo D question

As Kent said, it's a popular day for Paris Metro questions.
We arrive on a Monday morning and stay through Saturday, and so are considering the Navigo D pass this trip. (We've used carnets in the past.) I've been on the web site but can't find any information about kids ... If it follows other tickets, they should need their own but half price, but I can't find that to confirm. If it's the same price as adult (21E plus 5E fee), it probably would be better for us to get carnets.
If anyone know (or can point me to the right place), I would appreciate it!
(Kids are 9 and 11)
Thank you!

The Navigo passes are really created for locals and those who are living and studying or working in Paris. The price you are quoting is for zones 1-2 only. You'll pay 34.50 E each plus the fee to travel to zones 1-5 of the city. Paris residents can get kids' Navigo passes but non-Paris residents cannot. Kids 3 and under can travel free. Your non-Parisian kids of 9 and 11 will need their own Navigo D passes and will pay the same for them as you do. Also, all 4 of you would need several passport photos taken there at a booth near where you buy the Navigo D passes and these cost extra per person. We've lived in Paris with kids and spend much time there. You are likely better off buying the carnets.

I'd just go ahead and get NDs for everyone to make it easy -- they are pretty economical. You could get Paris Visite passes for the kids at half price -- but that is 30 Euro for 5 days/5 zones. for 40 you can buy the kid the card and charge it for all 5 zones including the airports for 7 days. The Visite is also a fiddly little cardboard ticket easy to lose or have demagnetize (you can get it replaced but it is just less convenient) The adult visit for 5 days 5 zones is about 60 Euro.

The ND is not a tourist product (as you can see they really want to hose tourists). It is designed for Parisians who don't want to register their travels with the state or for students or workers there for long periods. Local kids can get a school kids Navigo but tourists of any age have to use the Navigo Decouverte which is designed for adults only.

Normally a child 10 or older rides as an adult on the metro -- the Visite does go up through 11.

A couple of additional points.
The 9 yo can get a half price carnet.
If you go ahead with Navigos, you can make your own id photos with any digital camera or phone, then print them out out using the computer's scaling function so they are 1" by 1 1/4". That way you'll have them with you already when you get the passes. Saves a bit of time and money.

Sam is correct. As others have said scan your drivers license or Passport photo and resize it accordingly. The size Photo 3cm tall/2.5cm wide, which translates to in inches: 1.18” tall/.98” wide, give or take. I have already scanned my drivers license, more current then my passport, matched the size and printed a few copies for my next trip.
Enjoy your trip.
