Anniversary Trip

Have been to Paris, Normandy and the Loire Valley (with the kids) - great trip!

Now, the kids are gone and we are having a 35th wedding anniversary next Spring! Since we went camping on our honeymoon, we would like a a 2nd honeymoon - we like architecture, history, long walks, and wine! We like to travel in the Spring or Fall; and we like boutique hotels or a B & B...

We would rent a car or take trains. Any suggestions Forum Friends? Thanks!

We love Aix-en-Provence and the Luberon! My trip report is very long (we spent a month) but lots of detail if you are interested: https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/trip-reports/a-month-in-amazing-aix-en-provence

We stayed in the pedestrian historical center and it was oozing with beautiful architecture, leafy squares with cafes to sit for hours, a wonderful museum (or two or three), and plenty of walks. We us public transportation but you can easily rent a car in town to drive up to the Luberon or over to the coast and visit Cassis.

Find good travel agent, give info, relax. It's an anniversary.

You can find lists at Travel & Leisure and CN Traveler.
