We’re driving up to Paris from Provence mid-June to complete our trip and plan to space it out into four nights. One will be in Annecy, two in Alsace, and the last night before Paris will be Reims. For the night in Annecy area we will basically just be looking to enjoy some scenery, maybe go out on the lake for a bit, but that’s about it. We just want to relax that day. I’ve read some suggestions that Talloires is a beautiful side of the lake. Would we be missing out not staying close to Annecy given the short time? Taking into account our goals while there would Talloires be a good choice since it’s peaceful? Open to any advice and would love to hear your experience in this area!

I have not been to Talloires, but I think Annecy is a great village to see and you can make it as chilled or relaxed as you like. They are only 30 minutes apart by car so, you can see both and pick a hotel in either.
