Annecy parking in most secure place and related ramblings

As part of a larger trip this July I was looking for an overnight stay between Chamonix and Valensole (Provence)
Although not in the middle logistically Annecy had me hooked at almost first glance.
Reading up on it further only pushed me to a need not want situation.

Finding a place with availability for a one night stay on a Saturday night in July for a party of 3 proved to be of the more difficult bookings I have ever attempted.
Absolutely nothing available, not one hotel/motel within 10 miles of the town.
Airbnb had some but none in old town and nothing very appealing.
After a few days of junk a new listing appeared on Airbnb right in Old Town center so I pounced.
A few things are not ideal for us though...
no parking and check in is not until 5 PM with no ability to store luggage before hand also place has 2 narrow/winding flights of stairs so not great for bringing luggage when we do check in. Also no cancellation policy so we are now committed to it.

Communication barrier with the renter so didn't think they would be best to ask this...
As we are on a large trip including time in the mountains and at the sea we cannot travel very lightly so a couple of larger rolling suitcases I am afraid will be part of our entourage.
Ideally I could pay to park for 24 hours somewhere secure, underground, monitored where I would not worry about having our luggage inside the car. I more concerned with security than cost of parking.
Would take just a day bag/backpack with camera, electronics, clothes for the next day, etc... just what we need since we are only staying the night, etc... rental is a mid size so I think we can hide well enough the luggage we would leave behind.

Heard the Hotel De Ville has a large underground pay garage ; is that my best option?
Any other thoughts on how you would handle this?
Think I would prefer to arrive in Annecy around 1 PM and spend all day walking around as well as in the evening after check-in to make the most of our one night stay. I assume based on the lack of lodging available Annecy on a Saturday in July will be packed with other tourists?
The following morning we could see a little but with the much longer stretch of the drive to Valensole ahead want to be out of town well before noon.
