We are looking at heading to Annecy for two nights in June. Then driving in a rental car to Lavender Fields - staying one night then heading to Antibes for the last four days to relax.
My Question: Should we skip Annecy and spend more time in Provence?
Yes you should.
I spent a week in Annecy a couple of years ago on a walking holiday. The lake is lovely and the old town is nice but there's not a whole lot to do in the town that interested me. If you haven't been to Provence before, I'd focus on Provence and skip Annecy.
I agree: skip Annecy. I used to live a short drive from there and my advice remains the same.
I’m in Annecy right now and while it is lovely I would skip it and give the time to Provence.
