I can't make any recommendations, but the French word for air conditioning is climatisation, sometimes shortened to clim.

Using that word in an Internet search could yield interesting and possibly relevant websites, such as this one.

I believe that booking.com also has a filter for AC.

It is often an option on booking.com. Occasionally it is not among the filters I am offered--perhaps because there are few air conditioned lodgings in that particular town?
