My friend and I are leaving the husbands behind in Colorado and heading to France! We are thinking of flying to Geneva, take bus to Annecy for 3 nights, train to Lausanne or Luzern, Switzerland for 5 nights, then train to Colmar for 3-4 nights and off to Paris for 2 nights (have been there before) and then fly home. We are thinking April or May. Do we need to consider crowds and activities for May Day and VE Day? Would love to have flowers blooming but not too HOT. That’s not too much to ask for? We appreciate any suggestions and/or tips. Thanks in advance.

Annecy is mostly busy during week ends or bank holiday and yes a lot in May :)
There should some flowers and not too hot. Buses are ok from Geneva to Annecy (only on Sunday less buses)
