Is 3 days in annecy france prior to a Viking cruise from Lyon worth it when we plan to spend a week in Luberon after the cruise ends in Avignon?
We will be going in March 2025.
Any ideas of village as a base in Luberon?

We just got back 3 weeks ago and spent the last 3 nights in Annecy. We drove to Chamonix one day and biked on the lakeside path one day. I thought it was beautiful and very glad we added that to our trip plans.
We stayed 3 nights at Le Ferme de la Huppe 3 km outside of Gordes. It was a perfect location for exploring the Luberon Valley. We drove to Arles on one of the days. The bnb was fabulous! I would absolutely stay there again.

Annecy is a very pretty village. I'd like a day there (2 nights gives you a full day). Weather might be iffy in March.
Chamonix will be full winter ski season in March. Might be neat, but lodging will be expensive, and dining will be full.
Lyon is worth seeing. There are great Roman era sites and it's known for it's dining. Spend some time there.
