I am asking for a friend since who is going to visit me in Collioure. I have never taken either of these routes.
1. Amsterdam to Toulouse by air, then train to Collioure?
or
2. Amsterdam to Barcelona by air, train to Collioure?
I realize in both cases, she would have to transfer from the airport to the train station. I am leaning toward Toulouse since it would seem simpler, smaller town, less busy airport and train station. I've not been to either places, so I'm looking for recommendations.

I have done it from Barcelona twice and like that route as it's a shorter train ride.

Thank you. She has decided on the Barcelona (TGV) to Perpignan to Collioure route. I think she may come down early and stay a day in Barcelona before heading to Collioure.
