Hello! We will be renting a car and driving from Amboise to Beaune. Can anyone recommend any places, towns, sights along the way to stop and help break the drive up? Trying to make the trip scenic and enjoyable. Thanks in advance!

Hi! I am assuming you are driving from Amboise to Beaune in a day, right?
Several places that come to mind are:
- Guedelon, where a castle has been built over the past 20-30 years using medieval techniques. Especially good with kids, but great for adults too.
- Sancerre, a charming village surrounded by vineyards
- Briare, worth a brief stop for the canal-bridge across the Loire
- Vézelay, for the Abbey there
- Bourges has a charming old town with top-notch cathedral and other medieval buildings (Palais Jacques Coeur) but it could deserve an overnight stay

Yes we plan on making the drive in the day. Thank you for the recommendations! I will look into those stops!
