Amboise to Antibbes

We are finalizing our itinerary for travel next May to France.
Looking at spending the last 7 days in French Riviera. Does anyone have experience traveling from Amboise to Antibbes same day? Looking at trains, and route looks to be back to Paris, then train to Antibbes. Certainly a day of travel. Looking to return to Paris for flight home.
There are also flights out of Tours to Nice, but cost is higher.

FYI, itinerary looks to be 6 nights in Paris (pt of arrival), 3 nights in Bayeux, drive to Amboise and 3 nights.

Thanks for your thoughts.

If you have a car to drive to Amboise, why not keep it and drive to Antibes ? You will be needing it all the time you're in Amboise if you want to go anywhere, and I assume you will be returning it to Tours before you head back to Paris to catch the train to Antibes.

I would drive the car back to Orly airport and fly to Nice. Amboise to Orly is a 2.5 hour drive, so if you pick an early afternoon flight, you can have breakfast in Amboise, leave at 8.30, avoid all Paris area rush hour traffic, catch a 2.30 flight and reach Antibes by 5 latest.
Any option involving trains will take quite a bit longer since changing stations in Paris requires 1.5 hours buffer to be safe.

The train just from Paris to Antibes is six hours. The suggestion of flying from Orly is excellent. EasyJet has several flights a day. I’ve flown this route out of Orly on both easyJet and Air France several times and have found it very convenient.
