Notes about the show mention a spot called L'Epicerie in Amboise, but I'm skeptical, since it says, "the snails are scrumptious."

LOL! I'm thinking of the scene in The Jerk where Bernadette Peters orders escargot and Steve Martin freaks out because, "There are snails on her plate!"
Escargot is great, taste and texture won't make you think of snails. Something you have to try.
