Very likely our Thalys train from Amsterdam to Paris will be cancelled on April 21. At this point need to figure out alternatives. We’d like to avoid flying due to price but mostly logistics. Would anyone recommend the bus, BlaBlaCar bus or Flixbus? Wondering if a private driver or Uber wouldn’t be ridiculously expensive? There are 4 of us.
Anyone have ideas asap?

I've taken Bla Bla bus but not to Amsterdam. Have you looked at getting to Brussels and then taking train to Amsterdam. Bla Bla Bus works well and it will cost about $380 for 4 people but it's an 8 hour trip from Paris to Amsterdam. I don't know your exact circumstances but I would bit the bullet and fly.

Can you explain why you think your Thalys train will be cancelled on April 21st? Have you got a link to a website you can provide? I was just on the Thalys site and there is mention of track works on April 21st that can cause some delays but I see no cancelations:

I may have jumped the gun. I saw cancelled trains and assumed all may be cancelled. Thank you for links.

I guess it's good to have alternatives (I was a Boy Scout—Be Prepared), but April 21st is two weeks away. A lot can happen, or not happen in that time.
