Alsace B and B and/or small hotels along the wine road

Any suggestions along this route especially if B and B in a winery? Driving, so can get anywhere we need to. Thanks!

There are B&B's in all the little towns. I stayed in Eguisheim and it was great.

We stayed in Kientzheim at the Hostellerie Schwendler. It's a less touristed, tiny town. We loved it. I wrote up a longer post on it a couple of years ago, you should be able to find the post by searching the archives.

Here's a link to the English version of their website.

Travelling through the region last May was a delight. Lots of small villages outside of Colmar each with their own charm. I especially liked the town of Niedermorschwihr. This town was not overrun with lots of tourist shops and bus tourists. I did not stay in the town although on my next trip thru I would definitely consider it especially since there are several caveus (wine tasting caves) in this quaint town that we enjoyed every evening.

Turckheim is also a cute town not overrun by tourists. Both towns are smaller and more quaint. How to find somewhere to stay? Googlemap the town/area and then zoom in many times to find bed icons. Clicking on the icon will generally give you info on the accommodation including their website.

When I was in the area for 4 nights, I stayed at a B&B that is part of a 300 year old farmhouse and is up in the hills overlooking this area. It was a bit of a drive up the winding road but was worth the experience. The hills around us had several WWI bunkers and memorials. If you would like the info for this B&B, send me a personal message on this travel forum.

Enjoy your trip.

All good guidance, thanks very much. Still curious about a winery/b and b combined.
