Alpine Tour mid August.

We are so excited to be traveling again after planning this My Way Alpine Tour it is finally going to happen ..we hope.

My question is we plan to stay 2 days after tour ends then somehow make our way to Geneva to the airport.
Should we plan to go to Geneva a day ahead? I am sure many have done it I am just not sure best way.. if we go to Geneva should we stay at the hotel near airport and fly out next day? .

Any suggestions on where to stay in Geneva? That would be close to airport but give us enough to do.

The airport in Geneva is very close to town, so I would just stay in town! Close to Cornavin station would be ideal, as it is a short train ride away from the airport and easy walking distance to the lake. And yes, Geneva is great for a night. It is a pleasant city in a beautiful setting.

what time is your flight at Geneva?

That would depend if I suggested to stay near the airport, somewhere else in Geneva or in Lausanne.

We just booked our flights. We will leave Geneva at 14:50 ..to Boston through Zurich..
We been to Lausanne but never to Geneva. We will end our My Way Alpine tour in Chamonix.
Any suggestions on what to do in Geneva?
Any Hotel suggestions would be very appreciated.

In Geneva, I like to explore the old town, which has a few monuments and museums (I am not a museum guy so cannot recommend any), as well as the lakeshore, especially the northern shore right off Mont Blanc bridge, which has great views on a clear day. The Lido at Bains du Pâquis is great for a dip in the lake and a casual meal at the café there, which is good and affordable for Geneva.
