Almond milk available in Paris?

I drink almond milk to get my quota of calcium daily. Will I be able to easily purchase it in Paris shops? Will it be labeled so I can understand the milligrams of calcium per serving? Thank you.

Yes, plant based milks are readily available in Paris. Food labeling is clear and easy to understand. You can look up terms (matières grasses, for instance, which means fat) on your phone if need be. :-)

Almond milk is easily found in most supermarkets and all organic stores.

It's called "Lait d'amande" in French

However, be aware that almond milk is naturally low in calcium, if it contains a lot of it it's mainly with additives (Lithothamnium algae)

Since 2022, the European Union's regulations on organic products have banned some food additives intended to artificially increase the amount of calcium. So you won't find much calcium in organic almond milk.

There are 'Bio' stores which specialize in organic produce and they always have a section of oat, almond etc milks. Large supermarkets may also have it.
