We are staying at a B&B in Ajaccio. Our flight to Paris is departing Ajaccio at 0600 on a Friday morning. Any ideas on the best way to get to the airport in time for our flight? We have a rental with Avis, but are returning the car the previous evening as they are not open at 0400 AM . I was thinking of arranging for a taxi or Uber to pick us up at our "home" to take us to the airport. But what if they don't show up? (I know I should not be thinking of "what if" .... i just like to have a back up plan)

If a real B&B (not Airbnb), your host can help you arrange a taxi, and that would be the best way. No Uber in Ajaccio. There is no such thing as a plan B in that case...but a prebooked taxi not showing up is unheard of to me.
Otherwise, wouldn't the Airport agency have a 24-hour car drop-off option with a key box? It does increase the risk of liability if nobody comes and checks the car as you drop it, but it should be feasible.

The only "problem" I've had with an advance-reserved taxi is their arriving earlier than requested (in Rome). Plan B, if you need one, is probably just to call the same or a different taxi company again.
