I am looking for any suggestions regarding a same-day trip from Aix-en-Provence to Cassis. It appears travel by train takes about two hours, including time to and from train stations, and a transfer in Marseille. I am not interesting in driving, and this will be on a Saturday or Sunday in May. Hiring a taxi or driver for the day is a possibility, depending on pricing. I have not checked the taxi services in this area of Provence for their services. Thanks in advance for any information and wise counsel offered.
I’m getting conflicting results on Rome2Rio.com but when we lived in Cassis and one of our kids was at the university in Aix, there was a direct bus on the weekends that didn’t require changes. Right now, one result is showing 1:29 by bus with a change in Marseille, while the other result shows a change in Aubagne.
You could see how it evolves as we approach spring and cross your fingers for the direct bus.
