My wife and I would appreciate restaurant recommendations in Aix-en-Provence.
We are currently here and have enjoyed meals at Tita, Maison Weibel and on Friday we will eat at Restaurant La Tomate Verta. We stopped for beverages at Brasserie de L’Archeveche and the menu/reviews looked good.
We drove to Aix for the Cezanne exhibit ten days ago and stumbled on Maurizio at 2 rue des Tanneurs. My husband and I were both struck by the quality of what they served. Restaurant choices on a Sunday are limited, so we felt fortunate to find Maurizio.
Our lunch was light because we had plans for a large dinner out with friends after a tour at the Granet. But the huge rainstorm changed our dinner plans. So, I wish we had ordered more at Maurizio.
I just saw that it's listed in the Gault & Millau restaurant guide book, a sign of quality. Bon appetit.
