My wife and I will be traveling by car and staying in Aix-en-Provence for 3 days in early October. I would appreciate recommendations for restaurants in and day trips out of Aix-en-Provence.

A drive to Les Baux takes about an hour. Nimes and nearby Pont Du Gard are about an hour and a half. The sweet coastal town of Bandol takes an hour and has some nice wineries in the area. St Remy de Provence is also about an hour.

Gregory, I see your three posts with basically the same question. Are you trying to decide where to base yourself in Provence? Maybe you could provide more info about your goals and expectations for this trip. Trip Advisor will give you lots of this same info we have given. Have you done any other research, such as looking at travel books to narrow things down? RS' book, plus others can give you a baseline for info about these towns, so you can perhaps make your questions less general and vague.
