we will be 4 people arriving in Orly airport Paris in early June with l lg bag each, what should a taxi cost (app) to the Louvre area?
We are leaving from Louvre area out to CDG airport what should the app. taxi fare be?

When you arrive at the airport you should be able to go to the taxi stand and get a taxi that will accommodate you. Extra charge for 4th person and about 1 Euro per bag so about 50 Euro. Try taxifarefinder.com for details. Since you have 4 in your party it is good to know that is is standard to add a charge for the 4th person on all taxi rides in Paris. They aren't trying to scam you. Have fun!

I would be shocked if the tab came up to 50 Euro. Orly is close to Paris compared to CDG and I have only paid 45 to travel to the opposite end of the city (the 17th) during white night when traffic was extensive. It cost us 30 to go from Montparnasse to Orly last summer and about 30 from Orly to the Latin Quarter the year before.
Even with the 3Euro fee for the 4th passenger and the 3 Euro for the 2-4 bag in the trunk (keep hand totes and purses in your lap), I would be surprised if it would much more than 40.
From Orly it will be cheaper to go by cab for 4 people than by public transport from the airport which would be roughly 48 Euro

In this price range, four people sharing the taxi on each airport journey is a worthwhile convenience, versus bus, subway, or airport vans. For your trip outbound to CDG, you can ask your hotel to reserve the taxi a day ahead.

Marilyn, We have used the Paris Shuttle (Paris-shuttle.com) before and are using it again this time, it's nice to not have to worry about how your getting to your hotel after a long flight and maybe airline issues, it's going to be €70 for the 4 of us with luggage to our hotel in the St Germain. And we already know how much it will cost and already paid for..if your like us and like to pay for as much as we can ahead of time :)
