Air France wheelchair

When boarding, they would not help my wife in her wheelchair over the entrance to the plane. I asked the employee to help her and she grabbed my bags. I then had to yell at the employee to help her. By that point it was too late. They then told her to walk down the aisle, but that is impossible since she can't walk. They are not very smart.

I understand your frustration. Travel with a wheelchair is challenging. In my experience, the wheelchair user has to transfer to a more narrow chair. Many chairs don’t fit onboard. Did you request wheelchair assistance in advance? Maybe they assumed she would be able to walk to her seat, if she did not transfer to a smaller chair? Many people request a wheelchair in the airport due to the walking distances, but they can walk short distances. How did she end up getting to her seat?

Oh this is really bad. What a way to be treated. I am so sorry.

We had a horrific experience with Air France flying from Naples to Paris. The flight attendants were so rude. Over 90% of our flight missed connections, us included, and they could have cared less. Then when flying home, the Air France gate attendant was extremely dismissive the next day when I asked a simple question. We are frequent flyers and I will NEVER fly Air France ever again.

We travel with a disabled family member and have had several bad experiences with AF staff and also with airport assistance at CDG. Air France is now on our "never again" list.

Delta, on the other hand, has been fantastic regarding accommodations and customer service. We have also had good experiences with American. Maybe give one of them a try next time.
