Air France Pilots' Strike Planned June 11-14

In an effort to put pressure on the company to accede to their demands with the UEFA Cup starting June 10, the Air France pilots' unions have filed a motion to strike from June 11 through 14.

If you're flying Delta/Air France in that time frame, please keep checking information with the carrier about your flight. French law requires them to notify of just how wide the strike will be 48 hours in advance of its beginning, so as of June 9 or so there should start to be information about delays/cancellations for June 11 (they're not always good about adhering to the 48-hour rule, but one can hope).

No one's mentioned anything yet about the fall-on effect of this strike on other airlines operating at airports where AirFrance operates (especially within France), but it seems logical to me that it could affect other flights, so pay attention if you're not flying AF into/out of/within France on those dates.

And yes, the rail strike continues . . .

bumping up as we approach the 11th, and AF and its pilots still haven't come to agreement (i.e. the strike still appears to be on).

Kim-If they strike is there any reason or past history to think the strike could go beyond the 14th?
