Air fares for October

We will be flying into Paris in mid Oct. and flying back to Seattle from Holland around Nov 10. We just missed the great fares that United and Delta were advertising for around $600 rt, now it is about $1060. Should we book or wait until another sale?

Keep checking now.
I yesterday saw fares from SFO to Europe (multi-city) on Air Canada from about $650 round trip. Air France and KLM also looked reasonable.
I'm still working on my Fall itinerary and not quite ready to commit. (I hope I don't kick myself next week!)

You can fly non-stop to Paris and home nonstop from Amsterdam--both via Delta Airlines. That would be your best bet.
Lower fares may or may not be available, however you might have to go through other airports. And chances are it won't be that much less expensive than the $1060 you talk of.

I'd go ahead and book it since flying non-stop is a treat for those flying out of some regions.

Did you actually check what your fare would be? I often find that the advertisements I receive on line are for very limited routes and the route I want isn't discounted. You may not have missed anything that would suit your needs.

My theory is if you've seen a fare once, you will see it again. October is usually a big month for price drops. Keep watching to get an idea of a "good" price. Check all the options (fly from SeaTac, Vancover BC and Portland) as well as options other than just Amsterdam - sometimes there can be a good enough price to justify another airport. Also check days, plus and minus, for both going and coming that can make hundreds of dollars of difference too.
