Since the RS tour I'm taking ends in Nice, I was looking for several day trips from there before I come back home....by train and bus please...:).....thanks, jenny

There are many day trip options: Monaco, Menton, Eze, Cagnes sur Mer (Renoir's home and garden), the Rothschild home and gardens on Cap Ferrat, Villefranche sur Mer, Antibes. I would get the RS Provence book which provides many ideas with transportation information.

I recommend Villefranche-sur-mer. It is only about 5 kms from Nice. It is my fave spot along the coast. I was introduced to it in a RS tour and I have returned there 3 times since then. Easy bus & train access alongmthe coast. It is a small town with many great restaurants, varying from low to hi end. My favorite restaurant was Cosmo, with a water view, delicious moules frites, mussels with fries. I thnk I had that 3 times during my week stay, with a glass of white wine, or 2. I love the Cote d'Azur.
