Our group of 4 adults are doing the Rhine River Christmas market cruise ending in Basel Switzerland in late November.
Looking for recommendations for a week of travel afterward by train ending in a hub city to fly back to the states.
First thought is Beaujolais and Provence region flying out of Marseille. Never traveled to this area before, what can we expect first week of December?
Other thought is to go north to Heidelberg, Wurzburg and Frankfurt but afraid that it’s more of the same thing from the cruise.
Been to Paris several times but not at Christmas.
