I am planning a trip to Corsica at the end of April for about 10 days. My first time. Would appreciate thoughts on flying into Ajaccio (at 6 pm), spending the first two nights in Ajaccio sightseeing and recovering from jet lag. Then picking up a rental car and driving to Bonafacio for two nights. Then driving inland to Corte or Pianini and spending two or three nights. Looking for easy but rewarding walks in this area. Then driving to Bastia for two or three nights. I have not yet booked a flight out to Nice where I will pick up a flight back to the States. If I rent the car in Ajaccio will they let me return it in Bastia if I could get a flight to Nice from there? Does this seem like a reasonable amount of driving or too much? Any recommendations gratefully accepted!
