Dear All,
Would anyone have advice on how best to visit Monet's gardens in Giverny in January. I'm assuming that the Paris strike will still be in effect. My daughter and I would like to do a half- to full-day in Giverny. Normally, my understanding is that this is an easy daytrip to do on one's own. But with the strike, if the trains are not reliable, does anyone have a tour company they would recommend? Many thanks!
It won't be a very productive visit unless just seeing the walls from the outside is enough.
It closes in the winter, from the beginning of November to (in 2020) the first of April.
To be sure of my information the official website is http://giverny.org/gardens/fcm/visitgb.htm
Indeed, as Nigel has pointed out, Monet’s house and garden are not open in January.
Oh dear. Thank you both very much!
