Advanced purchase of Museum tickets

It turns out that with Tuesday closures for a lot of the Museums we want to see, and the 2 day Museum pass requiring consecutive days, our best approach is to purchase tix in advance for where we want to go, and print them out at home. Has anyone done this successfully and skipped the long ticket lines?

D'Orsay and Orangerie' have a joint entrance ticket option and the Louvre provides for scheduled admission.

I don't know how else to do this with a Monday arrival and Thursday departure for Greece.

Your approach makes sense to me, and should work fine.

I know Rick really beats the drum of "there are two kinds of visitors to Paris: those with a Paris Museum Pass, and fools." But I don't agree. Just as with any other pass, you have to crunch the numbers and make sure it works with YOUR particular plans.

Out of my three most recent Paris visits, I had a Museum Pass on one and used almost twice its value. But on another one, I barely broke even, and on the third I didn't get it, because I was seeing mostly sights not covered by the Museum Pass.

Given your parameters, advance tickets bought online are the way to go. Yes, with a pre-printed ticket, you get in the shorter ticket-holder lines rather than the long ticket-buyer lines.
