Has anyone visited Monet's house and gardens at Giverny recently? I'm wondering if there will be a long wait if I try to purchase tickets on site (online advance tickets are sold out for the day I'd like to go).

Are you trying to visit this week? If all the advance tickets are sold out, then expect heavy crowds at the gardens. Unless you arrive shortly before or at opening, you can expect a waiting line to buy tickets. Its also possible that they wont be selling any more tickets that day.

I was hoping to go later this week. Since the advance tickets are gone, I am considering arriving before it opens to attempt to buy a ticket on the morning of my visit. I have read the info on the website, but am wondering if anyone has visited recently and done this successfully. Thanks so much!
