My husband I will be travelling spur of the moment to the Nice area next week (May 5). Any suggestions on where to stay that is walking distance to the water and in a nice area? We will not have a car for transportation. Thank you!

Linda - Try Hotel le Royal and ask for a room facing the water.

Try Hotel Mecure as well. Right across the street from the large boardwalk and central to the flower market and old area of Nice. A nice walk up the hill to the point and around the corner to the yacht basin. It is not far from the bus station for a short ride to Villefranche and Monaco.
