Accomodations in Beaune for 2 nights while headed to Aix Provence and Eze

Anyone have any recommendations for places to stay in Beaune? Looking for a more local feel rather than touristy but certainly comfortable with privacy options too. thank you

There's a Best Western just outside the one-way belt-way that circles the town (Beaune is small - it takes only about 15 minutes to drive all the way around it on this road that was once the town wall). This isn't your typical Best Western. The building has some charm and the rooms are quaintly decorated (our room had a timber rafter going through it). It is a short walk through one of the historical gates into town where there are several nice restaurants and you can easily walk to the town center, Hotel Dieu, etc. They have parking, but the garage is underground and very tight -- so unless you have a small car, I'd recommend parking in one of the lots that are nearby.

I stayed in the Hotel Athanor on an RS tour. It was very central and quite nice. As it was toward the end of the tour I have no recollection about the breakfast, lol and of course would have no idea about parking.

we stayed at the Hotel de la Paix in Beaune. It is a charming little hotel in easy walk to the historic center and restaurants, the Hotel Dieu etc. It has parking although a tight entry and small spaces -- lots of paint on the entry walls, but very secure parking in a courtyard. We would definitely stay there again.

I can recommend the Hotel de Challenges, just outside Beaune. It's a 19th century Grand Maison, with charming grounds, pool, & cosy bar & elegant breakfast room. The location is 5-10 min to the East of Beaune, by car, & perhaps 25 min. by bicycle. It's quiet, refined & has an excellent cellar.

We stayed at Hotel le Cep (in the RS France book) and loved it.

Stayed at the Best Western mentioned in the first post....a couple of years ago, but it was centrally located, and the town itself was easily accessible on foot. No need to use the auto at any time. Will recommend it again!!!
