Something seems to be going on in Eguisheim on the 13th and 14th and I’m having some trouble getting a room. Can anyone recommend a good place either there or Colmar. Thanks!

In Eguisheim we loved this sweet little BnB right on main street--http://www.hameau-eguisheim.com/ Lovely rooms, right on main street off the tasting room of a winery, sumptuous breakfast.
In Colmar, we really loved quirky, reasonably priced, Domaine Martin Jund, working winery with BnB and great breakfast.
Also, look on booking.com. I'm seeing quite a few available. Do you want 2 nights or 4 nights?

I often stay at RS recommended property tho I usually book about 4 months in advance.That said, there are wonderful properties not listed in his books. Again, I would look at L'Hammeau it is wonderful, and with the lovely breakfast with many options, quite a value.
