Accommodations for 4 in Paris

I am looking for a central (less than a mile or so from Notre Dame) hotel that is affordable and has real beds. I am really struggling because so many hotels and Airbnbs have 1 real bed and a sofa bed. I've gone through many of the Rick Steves recommended hotels from his book and I'm still coming up short. Does anyone have a recommendation? TIA!

By the way, we are two adults and two children (10, 3).

Have you tried Booking.com? I did a quick search with your travel dates (I saw a different post saying you were traveling in March) and filtered by number of beds. Literally hundreds of options can up. You can view them on the map to find options close to Notre Dame. https://www.booking.com/

To get that many beds you may have to look at 2 bedroom apartments or 2 adjoining hotel rooms. Airbnb lets you do that for apartments through the "filters". Airbnb also lets you 1. see average price and set your own price range in case helpful to meet "affordable" and 2. move the map back and forth and zoom in and out to set the distance.

Did you see this hotel on another thread? The original question was about 5th arrondissement. The writer of the post mentioned a family room at this hotel. https://www.excelsior-paris-hotel.com/ that appears to have a double bed and then also two single beds. That arrondissement is the same as ND.

Thank you all!

I've looked at booking.com among others for hours and never saw the option search by bed!

We have stayed at Le Relais St. Honore, all 4 of us....not sure of your travel dates...enjoyable, central, with breakfast. Of course, that was early 2020...

You don't say if you want 3 beds in the room or if the 10 year old and 3 year old will share a bed. And also, what is the budget. I suggested the Hotel Excelsior Latin in another thread and they have a great room/suite with 3 twin beds and a bed for the parents. I have stayed with my two children when they were 16 and 8 at the Hotel Odeon Saint Germain. At the Odeon Saint Germain, my children had a room with two beds the connected to my room with a queen bed. The way the rooms connected was that they were off a little hallway that was in turn off the main hallway and we had a key to the door to the main hallway and the doors to the mini hallway were left open and you could lock the door to main hallway. It was a very good set up. Both hotels are less than a mile from Notre Dame.

I am looking for 2 doubles, 2 queens, 4 twins, or a combo of those.

I did find a nice Airbnb in the 3rd (further than I wanted) but it looks like a great area and close to metro for the first 3 nights. We'll be flying to Nice for a few days and then back to Paris for the last 4 nights. I've looked at all the recommended hotels and it must be a very busy time (March 17-20) because they are showing $1000+ per night.

I'm looking for something about $250-300 tops per night. I might just end up getting something last minute when we are already in France for the last few nights.

I took a quick look on booking.com. Your budget doesn't seem unreasonable for March. The cheapest options mostly have a sofa bed in the mix, which you don't want (and I wouldn't, either). But that's revealed in the summary listing, so you can scroll right past those.

You can do a lot more with the filters than I did. I'd guess sticking to hotels would significantly reduce the number of sofa beds popping up, but in many cases the hotels may be offering two rooms rather than one quad room.

The Excelsior Latin is showing at $1,000 per night? Wow, that is ridiculous for that place.
