Accommodation and itinerary in Paris

We staying in Paris only for 2 nights in beginning of July. Any good recommendations for reasonable priced hotel with balcony and good view?
We also would like to take Paris river cruise or walking tour for couple of hours. Please share your thoughts. Highly appreciate your help!

For the river cruise, check out Vedettes du Pont Neuf. It is a river cruise company we've used several times, and we've never had to have a reservation. I think that is still the case. The evening cruise with the city all lit up gives new meaning to "the city of light". Especially when the Eiffel tower twinkles.

TBH, ahead of the Olympics, I’m not sure any hotel rates are reasonable much less a balcony/view situation. What is in your mind for a reasonable price?

I like walking with Paris Walks. Take a look at their webpage and see if any of their themed walks seem interesting to you.

I second Paris Walks. Last September we took the Hemingway Walk and the Montmartre Walk both with Peter, an Englishman who was very easy to understand, knowledgeable and who had a great sense of humor.
If you can, I hope you find lodging with air conditioning. In September, we had 96 degree F weather for @ one week. We rented an apartment that had ac, a fan and a washing machine to wash our sweaty clothes! All three were greatly appreciated.
