AC in Antibes in June

Hello,

I have been to France several times but never to the south. Is it necessary to have AC in the beginning of June in Antibes? The weather looks to be warm but not hot, but I’m not sure about humidity. We have found a beautiful house to rent but there is no AC. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks!

If you normally need AC or are just used to having it around, then get it. In the beginning of June in Antibes, my guess would be yes.

I don't need AC, can certainly do without it, even when it's a broiler. I was nearby twice from where you will be, ie, in Toulon both times in the beginning of July, at which time one basically baked due to the heat and humility. There was no AC where I stayed.

If I remember correctly, June can be foggy. I never felt the need for ac. You should check the historical June temperatures for Antibes. I haven't been on the Côte d'Azur in June for a couple of years.

The website timeanddate.com provides actual, day-by-day, historical weather data going back about ten years for most places tourists want to go. I like to check it for the five most recent years when thinking about the need for air conditioning and what type of clothes to pack.

As you can see, hot weather is definitely possible in June:

Antibes June 2022
Antibes June 2021
Antibes June 2020
Antibes June 2019
Antibes June 2018

This year it looks like only two days didn't get into the 80s F. Fifteen days reached 85 F or higher and five hit at least 90 F. Humidity figures appear in a chart beneath the graph.
