From the NY Times this morning.
For those of us who don’t follow that link, what does it say?
It's an updated view of life along rue des Martyrs during the confinement and the impact on the streets many food vendors. The article also includes a plug for the authors book about the area around Montmartre where she lives.
Nice article and makes me long for Paris. One of our favorite restaurants is near the top of Rue des Martyrs. Hope it survives!
Is your favorite L'Hommes Tranquille? One of our old favorites but haven't eaten there in a couple of years.
Jane, our fave, which we stumbled into when our specially reserved high-end restaurant Se’bon had to close because the chef was ill, is La Cave Gourmande. A fairly ordinary neighborhood place I suspect, but we thought the boeuf bourguignon and warm goat cheese salad were the best and far superior in many ways to guide book recommendations. We’ve been 3 times and results were consistent. We learned to order one salad to share, one order of the boeuf, and double mashed potatoes. 😁
