A Marais Hotel

Has anyone had any experience with following 3 hotels:
Hotel Caron Marais, Hotel Beaubourg or the Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais? Also, open to other suggestions. We will be staying a min. 10 nights. Thanks in advance, Jim and Jeanne S

As a local, I don't know the hotels themselves, but as location goes, I would lean towards the Caron Marais, or the Caron de Beaumarchais, because the immediate vicinity of the Beaubourg is a bit less charming IMO.

The Caron Marais has the benefit of being a bit closer to Bastille, a convenient transportation hub, and it is right next to charming Place Ste Catherine (where the terraces can be loud, so beware of street-facing rooms).

The Caron de Beaumarchais is a few min closer (just a few, like 5-7 minutes!) to attractions outside the Marais if you are walkers, but the street it's on (Vieillle du Temple) gets very busy with tourists and locals, especially at the weekend.

It is a minor difference, and I see that the CdB has slightly better reviews.

We stayed in the Hotel Beaubourg in a Junior Suite, which was huge with a private terrace.

The hotel was great, spotlessly clean, good breakfast and lovely helpful staff at a very reasonable price.

I do agree though that I am not a massive fan of the area, but I am not a massive fan of staying in the Marais, to me it is "gritty" for want of a better word, in comparison to staying where we usually do, either on Ile St. Louis or across the river on the left bank.

Here is a link to my Trip Advisor review of the hotel if you are interested.
