Paris 9th or 6th apartment location

Considering 2 Paris apartments for family of 6.

One in 9th ..Rochechouart area …”heart of Trudaine/Montmartre areas)

Or

One in 6th area “ between St.Germaine and Montparnasse”

Any opinions?

The one in the 9th is arranged slightly better for our needs but otherwise comparable

Personally for me Montmartre is just too far off the beaten path (and I normally stay in the 13th or 14th)

I've stayed in both areas many times. The exact area you are looking at in the 9th has only two metro lines you can reach, but you have several in the St. Germaine/Montparnasse area. You have more buses going in different directions in the 6th. Both have access to excellent food (rue des Martyres vs Le Grand Épicerie), restaurants, shops. The 6th is more central.
