8 Days Normandy

Bonjour! I will be traveling in France in September with some friends, ending up in the Dordogne Sept 9-20. After that, I want to meet my husband at CDG and travel for 7-8 days to the beaches in Normandy, seeing Honfleur and St Malo. I am trying to figure out the best logistics. Should I fly Bordeaux-Paris and meet him, get a car and drive a loop? We don't want to be traveling every day. Any suggestions would be welcomed, including good places to visit or stay. How hard would it be to pick someone up at CDG with a car?

Might be easier to reserve a car for CDG pickup, you fly or take the train to CDG and meet your husband there and then both of you go to the rental agency to get the car so that both of you can be listed as authorized drivers.
