70+ women in provence need driving suggestions

I am arriving in Nimes late this month and have 2 1/2 days by myself to see some towns by car. I speak fluent french and although i am very comfortable driving...i am hesitant to drive very winding narrow switchback kind of roads by myself. Can i still visit Roussillon and Gordes?
Any suggestions ?
We will all visit arles and Aix and Nîmes after the 21/2 says by myself.

I stayed in Roussillon and visited Gordes and several other towns in the area. I was 68 at the time and driving by myself and had no problems. There were some country roads that would probably be considered narrow but nothing like you see in the countryside of England or Ireland - no hedgerows or stone walls or anything like that. The roads went uphill to many of the towns (including Gordes and Roussillon) but I don't remember any roads that were extremely winding or switchback, except for the road up to Sault. If you're comfortable driving normal roads you shouldn't have any problems.

Our drive into Roussillon was easy - I don't remember it being remarkable in any way. Gordes was a mob scene and we just drove past it. I really like Joucas, which is between those two towns.

anne,

For driving in France, don't forget to pack along an International Driver's Permit, which is used in conjunction with your home D.L. The I.D.P.'s are valid for one year, and can be obtained at AAA / CAA offices for a small fee.

Anne,
I've always felt comfortable driving in Provence. We have visited Roussillon, Gordes, and many other small hill villages without any issues. Streets within the village can be narrow, just go slowly and watch for approaching cars. I'm 68 and recently spent a week in Provence.
Enjoy! Anne
