AirTransat is offering a fare to Paris of $655 RT for certain dates between now and early February, from Montreal and/or Toronto. That's Canadian dollars!

That's a great price for those living in Toronto or Montreal, but not as good for those of us in the west. In my case, it would be necessary to add about $700 R/T to get to either of those cities. I just checked the Air Canada website to get a "ballpark estimate" and there may be better deals available but I didn't check.

Airtransat still has fares from Vancouver to Amsterdam /London or Paris for under 1000 dollars ( Canadian dollars folks,,so great deal for Americans) for most of May and part of june left too.. just checked recently for my daughter.
Its a no frills airline ( they do feed you some slop, and they do have seat back entertainment) but those are great prices. Those who live in pacific northwest that can drive over the border easily.. well I would certainly consider flying out of Vancouver.
