6 New Bistros in Paris (NY Times)

My favorite in the comments was when everyone was remarking that the article quoted a chef saying people aren't into tweezers in their food anymore, and then that the article is accompanied by a chef clearly finishing a dish by adding something with tweezers !!!!

Also the first commenter is right that their description of the place in the 20th as being in Belleville is wayyyyy off. It's in my old neighborhood on the other side of Place de la Réunion.

Thank you for sharing!
Parcelles in the 3rd is indeed a solid recommendation, in my opinion!

Bistros des Tournelles is a very good option IMO. I have mixed feelings seeing it in a NYT article.

"Takes notes.
Irons shorts."
LOL! I have been encouraging my husband for years to stop wearing shorts all over Paris in the summer. He does not care what people think about it and as long as he is not violating a restaurant dress code, he wears shorts. He found this article and now he feels fully vindicated. He said "I've been telling you this for for years. People wear shorts in Paris. I don't understand why you refuse to see that."

Absolutely true with the heat nowadays. Men are wearing shorts, but they are tailored, the legs are tighter cut. They go to the knee and are often ironed.

What is rare is sloppy cut off jeans with threads hanging or baggy gym shorts, though in the photo the man's shorts are mid thigh worn with a long sleeve rumpled white shirt. LOL.
