4 days in Colmar

HI,

We have 3 and a half days in Colmar. Is it too much to try and see Colmar, Eguisheim, Chateau du Haut-Koenigsbourg, Strasbourg and perhaps pop over to Friedburg? We would take train to Strasbourg, and have car rental for the other destinations.

thanks !!

Colmar was nice, but I liked the smaller villages far better. We stayed one night and then three in Eguisheim. In both locations we stayed at working wineries. Where are you coming from? You could stop at Strasbourg or Frieburg on the way. . .

Yeah for 3 days it is too much to cram all these visits in that short time frame. You should just tour Colmar, Eguisheim, and Chateau du Haut-Koenigsbourg. Or drop the Chateau visit and include Strasbourg on the list.

I would drop Strasbourg.

We were there for 3 nights and 4 days. We did Haut Koenigsbourg one day and visited parts of Colmar that night. We drove to Basel Switzerland and back in a day, we also did a day of going to Saint Hypolite and Eguisheim....as we left to go north to Luxembourg we drove through parts of Germany. We had a car and it was off-season (late October) so no worries but I could not have added Strasbourg and not found it too much.

we will be arriving from Tours by train in Strasbourg, so maybe we could store our luggage and tour Strasbourg that day. I will have to check if there is luggage storage at the train station. Thanks for all the advise :)

Skip Colmar, stay in one of the wine villages such as you mentioned and Strasbourg . We stayed in Strasbourg and Riquewehr.
